So the Superbowl is this weekend...any tasty treats you guys make or any parties you guys go to.
I will say I miss that we don't drink because that is the day I usually have a few. I am glad I am not having the calories though.
I am doing a southwestern layered dipped with black beans, salsa, nofat sour cream low calorie cheese, low fat refried beans, tomatoes, lettuce and dip with baked tortilla chips(chili lime are my favorite)
I am also making some chicken tenders dipping them in panko bread crumbs and baking them...then I will create a couple sauces for dipping (franks red hot and bbq)
Jalapeno poppers with fat free cream cheese and turkey bacon. These are my favorite.
I made a tomato pie the other night...boy was it yummy
Just take a pie shell.....layer fresh tomatoes, fresh basil and shredded cheese..I use mainly mozzarella but also a bit of cheddar in there. and another layer of tomatoes, basil this time a little bit of bacon and more cheese then you frost with some nonfat mayo...really not a lot and you end up with the yummy treat
Ok, enough food porn
Have a great Thursday

YUM! That looks delish!
We are making some not so healthy snacks like Meatballs!! :)
Can I tell you a secret? I have never watched a Super Bowl game in my life. NOT ONCE. Shhh, don't tell anyone. I am contemplating accepting an invitation to a SB party this weekend, but I'm not sure I'm ready to break my streak.
That pie sounds good!
Make room. I'm coming over! :)

That looks really good. I am going try that chicken!
Gawd that pie looks good!
You know I love football so I'm excited about the Super Bowl. I think it's going to be low key though. Not feeling a super bowl party.
Connnie....you must watch the Super Bowl!
This all sounds fabulous!
We superbowl at our next door neighbours every year - the first 2 years Mark has had bad things happen to hime 1st year he threw out his back and the 2nd year he ended up getting a kidney stone attach and having to have the ambulance come take him away (so fun with all the nosey people outside drunk and watching)
The last 2 have been problem free - we pain faces and make dishes specific to the region of the teams who are in the super bowl - yes my food obsession is extended to all events... So this year it is Crab cakes (both teams are crab) sour dough buns (SF) with tiny little fillet mignons wrapped in bacon on skewers - I mean the size of a quarter - 2 to a stick..we also do chicken meatballs but now I am going to try the lowfat poppers - sounds good and Im going to save making the tomato pie for home. YUM YUM!! xoxo
