I wasn't sure I wanted to post but you know I like to keep it real.
I ate over a dozen chocolate chip cookies yesterday. I haven't done that in over a year.
So I have been thinking about it and realize I was frustrated.
I started the elliptical Wednesday at 10min and I have been doing it everyday and I built up to 35min on Saturday. My food was point on and I went to weigh in on Sunday and I was up 2lbs. I was pissed to say the least.
So I ate the cookies for breakfast.
I didn't work out
I layed around all day.
I moped and was pissy.
Luckily I ate well the rest of the day----my calories were over 2000
Today I got up and worked out for 40min on elliptical.
Today I got on the scale and I was down 3 lbs.
Today I realized that your body swells after you start a new exercise program and you need to give your body time to catch up.
Today I realized I could have been down even more if I had not eaten those cookies.
Today I am back to making better choices and I am hoping I learned from those mistakes.

Keep your chin up!!! :)
OMG, I can so relate! I'm so glad you posted this as a reminder that shit happens and we move on. I ate a LOT of frozen cookie dough yesterday b/c I didn't feel good and it was making me "feel" better. Good on you for recognizing all of this! Keep up the exercise girl and move on!! :)
Congrats on your loss! Today will be a better day!
I have a feeling I will be posting about eating a whole box of cookies when the Girl Scout cookies come in. I swore I wouldn't even buy any this year, yet I have already ordered 6 boxes :(
It's hard I only weigh myself 1 week but if stay the same I get so passed off. I think I should loose about 6 lbs let week... Yea that's right! I get it
Don't you love how every day is a new day!? It really is a gift. Glad you are blogging about it!
Um - hmmm - is it wrong that I could probably eat two dozen? Yah - it's always gonna be a struggle with me and sugar. Always.
Chin up, little lady!
I've been doing that for like 6 months. haha! you worked it off! no regrets!
I had a similar episode over the weekend and probably ate the equivalent of more than a dozen cookies. We do have to try to learn from these mistakes, and to come up with a plan for the next time. I don't have a good plan yet, but I'm hoping to come up with one ... any minute now.
Honey, this kind of stuff happens to all of, all the time! The brain stuff is the hardest stuff to change - you have a very strong path embedded in your brain that tells you the only way you will feel better is to eat something. And biochemically, it does. It increases your dopamine and seratonin levels. So there is a reason you have those urges. But it sounds to me like you just got right back on the horse, and are back at it - congrats on the 3 lbs down!!! Keep up the good work, and just move on.
oh geez, i know that feeling all too well!!!
